"Mug Up! Social Gatherings"
This event is held the second Wednesday of each month and is free of charge. It takes place in the solarium, library, and gymnasium at the Mercer Community Center!!
We will take the month of August to focus on the Celebrations hosted by the Town. We hope to see you at the Annual Chicken BBQ on August 8th and the 250th Birthday Celebration on the 9th at the Community Center. The next Mug Up Social Gathering will take place on
Wednesday, September 9th, 2026
from 1 - 3pm.
Featuring delicious refreshments, card and board games, jigsaw puzzle, pickleball (competitive and easy), books, music, casual conversation and LAUGHS in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Come and spend some time with your Mercer neighbors and friends at the MCC and Shaw Library, which is open during the Mug Ups.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

Lessons, equipment, a regulation sized court and players are ready to go. This is that addictive court sport for all ages that you have heard so much about. Clinics and regular games occur on a first come, first serve basis arranged in advance through the library. It's free of charge for residents of Mercer; $2 for non-residents. Inquire in the library to register. |

On-Demand Storytime
with Kim Dawes
The delightfully entertaining Mrs. Dawes of Belgrade Public Library reads aloud a picture book followed by a demonstration of a simple craft. The stories are themed around upcoming holidays or seasonal events and changes. Bring your children to the library whenever we are open if you are interested in taking advantage of this program. Each story runs about 20 minutes.

SATURDAY SHAW SOCIAL A friendly, easy-going, quaint, welcoming collection of friends of the library stop by on Saturday to grab a book or two, a delicious, fresh, homemade treat, work on the ongoing jigsaw puzzle, and get caught up with a few Mercer neighbors. Anyone is welcome to join us if just for a few minutes or to sit and stay awhile.
